This is not just a tour, it is a true Arctic expedition into one of the most remote and least travelled parts of Svalbard. We leave Longyearbyen and head deep into the wilderness, crossing wide frozen valleys where human presence disappears completely. One of the highlights of the journey is the famous Reindeer Valley, an area known for its high concentration of Svalbard reindeer, often moving silently across the open landscape.
As we continue west, the scenery becomes more dramatic and isolated. The terrain changes from broad valleys to coastal landscapes shaped by wind, ice, and time. This region is considered one of the areas with higher chances of spotting polar bears, although sightings can never be guaranteed. The feeling out here is raw, open, and powerful — no infrastructure, no noise, just pure Arctic.
You can either drive your own snowmobile or, when booking for more than one person, share one and swap along the way. We make several stops during the day to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and warm up with hot drinks and snacks. Bring your camera and tripod if you have one, and if you do not, professional guide photos will be available for purchase at the end of the tour in digital format.
This is a long-distance ride for guests who want to go beyond the usual routes and experience the Arctic at its most authentic.
