NORTHERN LIGHTS SNOWMOBILE EXPEDITION

Your adventure begins with pickup in Longyearbyen, followed by transfer to our basecamp where you receive full Arctic gear and a detailed safety briefing. Even if you’ve never driven a snowmobile before, we start gradually, making sure you feel confident and comfortable before heading into the open wilderness.

Once ready, we set off into the Polar Night. Driving through frozen valleys under a pitch-black sky completely changes your perception of space,  no light, no noise, just snow, horizon, and sky. Far away from any artificial light sources, this environment offers ideal conditions for spotting the Aurora Borealis.

You can either drive your own snowmobile or, if you are booking with more than one person, choose to share one (with the possibility to swap along the way), making the experience flexible and accessible.

Throughout the tour, your guide monitors weather and aurora activity, adapting the route and making strategic stops in the best possible locations for viewing. Along the way, you’ll travel through remote valleys, open terrain, and historic Arctic landscapes, fully immersed in the stillness of the night.

We stop regularly to observe the sky, take photos, and simply experience the silence of the Arctic. Your guide will also share insights about the science and mythology of the Northern Lights, as well as life and survival in this extreme environment.

Warm drinks and snacks are included, allowing you to stay comfortable while waiting for the Aurora to appear.

Bring your own camera and tripod to capture the moment. If you don’t have one, your guide will take professional photos during the tour, which will be available for purchase afterward in digital format.

This tour combines adrenaline, exploration, and one of the rarest natural phenomena on Earth into a single, unforgettable Arctic experience.

Note: Northern Lights are natural phenomena and cannot be guaranteed; the tour focuses on giving you the best possible chance under the conditions.
